Dogbone Meadow (see map below for location) is the largest fully-fenced dog park in Marin County.  It is a safe place for dog owners to bring their dogs for exercise. Dog owners can walk or jog around the track inside the park (5 times equals 1 mile).  It's a cool place to bring a dog.

Friends of Dogbone Meadow is the non-profit support group formed to help maintain and improve the dog park. Since its formation, we have donated $10,000 to the City of Novato to help defray the maintenance costs and help build Brian's Place, the gentle play area within Dogbone Meadow.

DOGBONE MEADOW CLOSED INDEFINITELY

FROM THE CITY OF NOVATO

As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our community, as well as due to complaints regarding people gathering and not complying with social distancing recommendations, the City has decided to close Dogbone Meadow Dog Park. Dogbone Meadow is considered a community park as it draws visitors from all over Novato and Marin. The City made the difficult decision to close the dog park to the public since closing just the parking lot could result in cars parking on Novato Boulevard or in adjacent neighborhoods which could lead to significant pedestrian safety issues. We understand how important this dog park is to our community, however, to protect the health of Novato residents the dog park is closed throughout the duration of the shelter at home order.
